Port Douglas plays host to a number of events and festivities throughout the year, including arts and craft markets, golf, fishing and functions. The major calendar event however is the week-long Reef & Rainforest Carnivale which celebrates life in Port Douglas, Mossman and the Daintree areas and attracts thousands of visitors from around the world.
