Approx. 35km Fingal – Kingscliff – Casuarina – Bogangar / Cabarita – Hastings Point – Pottsville
Travel south on Tweed Heads bypass and take first Tweed Coast exit on your left, immediately after crossing the Barney’s Point Bridge. Turning right at the roundabout takes you to the unspoiled golden sands of Fingal Beach. Fingal Lighthouse can be reached by taking the short walk through remnant coastal rainforest to the headland. Cook Island and its marine reserve can be seen offshore.

Alternatively turn left at the roundabout to follow the southern part of Tourist drive 38. Enjoy a short picturesque drive along the banks of the Tweed River at Chinderah, and enjoy a picnic with breathtaking views of Mt Warning. Relax in the park on the banks of the river or perhaps feast on a fresh or cooked seafood lunch, enjoy a drink or a bite to eat at the local hotel or café. Fish off the riverbank, launch your boat at the ramp or simply watch the boats go by.

Turn left into Wommin Bay Road and discover the Tweed Coast Villages of Kingscliff, Cabarita Beach/Bogangar, Hastings Point and Pottsville. Here you can enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, parklands, picnics, BBQ’s or relaxing strolls along the unspoilt beaches. Enjoy alfresco dining, clubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, hotels and popular local markets.

Some of the interesting features of the drive are Norries Headland at Cabarita Beach/Bogangar, where the dolphins frolick in the surf. Cudgera Creek is a popular picnic spot at Hastings Point. At the Bicentennial Leisure Gardens at Pottsville see coastal wetlands and wildlife, with several walking tracks and picnic areas.
Turning right at the Pottsville roundabout follow the road to Mooball and enjoy the drive through coastal farming areas past Rainforest Secrets before reaching the unique village of Mooball on Tweed Valley Way (40)

Accommodation to suit all budgets can be found in this beautiful area with its fantastic coastline.

Other popular near-by tourist attractions include Melaleuca Station, which is a working T-Tree plantation and Tropical Fruit World.
