Bounded by the South Pacific Ocean and the Great Dividing Range, this colourful region is centered around Coffs Harbour, with plenty of charming smaller towns to explore. Coffs, as it’s known, offers a range of entertainment, from wild water rafting to long lunches by the beach, a round of golf on an international-standard course or a quiet picnic at the North Coast Regional Botanic Gardens. Bellingen and Dorrigo, are a half an hour drive north west of Nambucca Heads, and home to the tranquil Dorrigo Rainforest.
