Who are we?

Stella Group incorporates two sectors, Stella Hospitality Group and Stella Travel Services.

Stella Hospitality Group encompasses the accommodation side of the business which includes the brands Peppers, Mantra, BreakFree. With over 140 properties and around 3300 Team Members, Stella Hospitality Group is well on the way to becoming "Australasia's preferred supplier of accommodation".

The Journey so far...

Though newly formed in August 2005, Stella Hospitality Group has a rich history acquired through its brands Peppers and BreakFree as well as the many other properties that have created our company.

Stella Hospitality Group has experienced rapid growth over recent years. It all started in March of 2005 when Peppers and BreakFree resorts were purchased by MFS; both of these businesses were then put under the one company in August 2005 as Stella Resorts Group. The company was then re-branded to Stella Hospitality Group in February 2007.

Between October 2005 and January 2007 Pacific International, S8, Saville Hotel Group, Outrigger (Australia and New Zealand) Sunleisure Operations joined our ever growing portfolio. October 2005 also saw the launch to the Mantra brand.

2008 has seen the most exciting move yet! Saville properties were re-branded as Mantra, making Mantra Australia's largest accommodation portfolio brand in the 4 - 4.5 star sector.

Today, Stella Hospitality Group has in excess of 12,000 rooms across more than 140 branded and independent properties, Stella Hospitality Group ranks as the second largest branded hotel operator in Australia.

Who owns us?

Stella Hospitality Group is majority owned by CVC. CVC Limited is one of the pioneering venture capital firms in Australia and has evolved to be a significant player in the private equity market with a highly experienced team, focused investment process and proven track record.

CVC Asia Pacific has been one of the most active private equity investors in the region and has completed 29 management buyouts, with an enterprise value of US$17.5 billion, covering Australia, Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan.
